Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know about Terra Conflict.

Getting Started

Is Terra Conflict free?

Yes — completely free. There are no downloads, no purchases, and no pay-to-win mechanics. Open the site and play instantly in your browser.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Terra Conflict runs entirely in your web browser on desktop or mobile. Nothing to install, nothing to update.

Do I need an account to play?

No. You can jump straight into a match as a guest. Creating a free account lets you keep your stats, earn XP and levels, appear on the leaderboard, and get a public profile — but it's optional.

How do I actually play?

Select one of your tiles, then attack an adjacent tile to break its defense and capture it. Full walkthrough on the How to Play page, and deeper tactics in the Strategy Guide.

The Game

What are the game modes?
  • Quick Match — instant 1v1 against the first opponent found.
  • Conquest — capture the entire map to win; private rooms, auto-balanced teams.
  • Dominance — score points each second for every tile you hold; highest score when time runs out wins.
  • Battlefield — an endless global war on a massive map that resets its front every hour.
Can I play with friends?

Yes. Create a private room in Conquest or Dominance and share the room code with friends to play together.

How long does a match take?

Most matches run a few minutes. Quick Match duels are the fastest; Battlefield you can drop in and out of whenever you like.

How do levels and XP work?

You earn XP for every match you play — the most for wins, but you gain XP for draws and losses too. XP builds your level over time, shown on your profile and the leaderboard. It's a measure of experience and dedication, not a power boost — there's no pay-to-win.

How does the leaderboard work?

The leaderboard ranks the top commanders by their record. Play ranked matches on an account to climb it, and click any player to view their public profile and stats.

Do I play against real people or bots?

Terra Conflict matches you with other players whenever possible. If no human opponent is available right away in Quick Match, a computer opponent can step in so you never have to wait around to play.

Accounts & Technical

Yes, from your account settings. Usernames must be unique, and offensive names are automatically blocked.
